Culture is what makes a company a place where team members want to work. We are intentional about our culture. We understand that we cannot choose or define our company culture, instead, we nurture and facilitate it as organically grows.
Our culture is a reflection of the values and mindset of our team members. We run regular interviews with our team to make sure we’re actively intentional about our culture. The interviews span from questions about the experience of working at Baselime, to more challenging questions about conflict and disagreements at work.
We also run a quarterly “Pulse Check” survey with the team to review our policies, hiring and firing criteria, and if we’re living up to the standards we set up.
We welcome everyone in the team to participate in organising activities to further strengthen our culture. It can span from organising a games evening, setting up a book club, or creating a Slack channel to share kittens’ gifs.
Culture is dynamic, it evolves as the team grows. It is a reflection of the team and we are intentional in ensuring team members remain connected to the company, its values, and its culture as the team grows. This is particularly challenging, but it’s something we’re putting a lot of effort in.
